Barry, Trojans Use Big First Half To Capture MAC Win Over Sidney Warriors

B-G tops Afton; Bulldogs weather the Storm

SIDNEY – For the second straight game, Nate Barry recorded 20-plus points to lead the Trojans to a conference win. In Thursday’s victory came over the Sidney Warriors as Barry finished with a game-high 20 in the 55-43 final.

Greene held a 28-12 lead at halftime, helping hold on for the 13-point win. Sidney did make an offensive push in the second half, outscoring the visiting Trojans 30-27, but a slow offensive start by the hosts was too much to overcome.

Jon Palmatier led Sidney with 16 points while the team also received 11 points from Devon Chabot. Liam Matthews added nine in the loss.

Greene also picked up double digits in the scoring column from Nate Parker with 12 points and Evan Walters, who tallied 10. Trent Rapp kicked in eight for the Trojans.

Greene travels to Norwich on Saturday for an inter-county match up that was scheduled to start the season but was postponed due to the weather. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:45 p.m.
