SHERBURNE – According to Friends of Rogers representatives, this year’s Winter Living Celebration was a massive success with events including a law enforcement K-9 demonstration, a human bird feeder station, and wagon rides in the snow.
Rogers Center is operated by Friends of Rogers Environmental Education Center, Inc., a nonprofit organization that offers educational programs for people of all ages. The Winter Living Celebration was held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Saturday. The celebration was hosted by Friends of Rogers and was a free, family friendly event that features winter activities for attendees to enjoy.
According to Friends of Rogers Executive Director Simon Solomon this year’s winter celebration was free for participants thanks to the generosity of Blueox Energy and Neighborhood Markets.
Solomon said this was the second year Friends of Rogers was able to provide the event for free thanks to community contributions.
Friends of Rogers Director of Development Heather Tehan also spoke on the event, and said this year was a massive success for the nonprofit.
