NORWICH – Adoption rates have doubled at the Chenango SPCA since the introduction of the Safe Haven Fund for Animals.

In 18 days, the SPCA has adopted out 40 cats and dogs. This time last year, the shelter had only achieved half that number of adoptions, adopting out 21 animals.

“This increase is strictly due to the Safe Haven Fund for animals,” said Executive Director Annette Clarke.
