BAINBRIDGE – The host Bobcats of Bainbridge-Guilford broke open the game against Afton early by going on a 22-5 run in the first quarter. B-G then captured the Midstate Athletic Conference post-season win with a final of 62-42 Wednesday night.
Leading the charge for B-G in the first quarter were the duo of Michael Stevens and Haiden Burns as the two combined to score 18 of the teams’ points. Stevens ended the night with a game-high 19 points and Burns finished with 10.
The Bobcats’ Ethan Gregory also scored 10 points in the win, posting a career high on the night. He recorded a double-double with 13 rebounds. Teammate Parker Finch added nine boards and four steals to aid in the efforts for B-G.
“A lot of guys on our team were able to get in and played a lot of minutes for us tonight,” said Bainbridge-Guilford head coach Brad Aldrich. “It was a great team effort in the win.”
