PLYMOUTH - A Plymouth man has been arrested for a second time this month. Law enforcement said Zachary A. Ketchum, 27, of Plymouth fired a gun at his neighbor, and was released with appearance tickets due to the state’s criminal justice reforms.
At that time Ketchum was charged with two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment, one count of third-degree criminal mischief, and two counts of second-degree menacing.
Police said last week on March 16, he was charged again with second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal contempt, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and fourth-degree grand larceny. Ketchum was arraigned in the Plymouth Town Court and held on $10,000 bail.
According to Chenango County Sheriff’s Office Detective Chad O’Hara, on March 9, Ketchum got into an altercation with a neighbor which led to Ketchum firing multiple shots at them.
“A patrol made contact with Ketchum, and he was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine,” said O’Hara. “Ketchum was arraigned in Norwich City Court, an order of protection was issued for the victim, and he was released as per the bail reform laws.”
