CHENANGO - Blueox Neighborhood Markets have become full service in an effort to keep customers and staff safe and healthy during the coronavirus spread.

From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. the Neighborhood Markets, also known as Valero, will not only offer full service gas pumping, but staff will also bring you any items you need from inside the store.

“Staff will be wearing gloves, and sanitize the gas pumps in between each customer. This way we have less people touching the pumps and going inside the stores,” said Blueox Vice President of Businesses Growth and Development, Julia Miller.

However, you will still need to enter the store for purchases like cigarettes and alcohol.

According to Dr. Charles Gerba, a microbiologist from the University of Arizona, 71 percent of all gas pump handles are “highly contaminated” with germs related to illnesses.
