CHENANGO COUNTY - In an interview with the Evening Sun, Congressman Anthony Brindisi discussed working for Chenango County residents, protecting farmers around the country, and why it’s important to put people before politics.
According to Brindisi approximately 400 people call his office per day with questions regarding what’s going on in Congress, the coronavirus, and how small businesses can fight to stay open during the pandemic. He said now is the time that leaders need to take action to strengthen the country, and help people stay safe.
“I don’t care if you voted for me or not, my office is going to work just as hard for you either way,” said Brindisi. “Right now I’m working for my district, because I love our area and our community, and even though we’re going through a tough time, perseverance is part of what makes us great.”
“Before we’re Democrats and Republicans, we’re Americans, and we’re going to come out of this even stronger than before.”
Brindisi said now more than ever, farmers need support from their elected officials. He said this is especially true in Chenango County, and that’s part of the reason why he supported the CARES act.
