Public Libraries Continue To Serve Area
Published: April 17th, 2020

VESTAL– Libraries throughout the Four County Library System (4CLS) service area may have closed their doors in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19, but they are still working to serve their communities in a myriad of innovative ways. From Facebook Live storytimes to virtual escape rooms to eBooks and audiobooks, librarians throughout the system are working hard to continue to provide valuable services during this time of uncertainty.

At 4CLS, we have compiled a list of resources on our website (www.4CLS.org) and have recently launched a “Library Events” page (https://tinyurl.com/sg4xq5f) to gather all the great things happening at the 42 libraries throughout our system. We would also encourage community members to visit their local library’s website and social media pages to take advantage of all they have to offer.

In addition, we are working to increase our eBook and audiobook holdings. While everyone is staying home in an effort to keep their community safe, at least they can do it with a good book, audiobook, or magazine. These digital collections are available to anyone with a library card in the 4CLS system. No library card? No problem! Simply fill out a form on our website (https://intranet.4cls.org/?p=2273) and we will get you virtual card as soon as possible.
