NEW BERLIN - The Village of New Berlin recently announced that it has completed a text-based information distribution service with sign-up information available on its website.

According to Village of New Berlin Mayor Terry Potter, New Berlin is now providing residents a text-based information service that will allow the village board to send out updates for local projects, community events, severe weather, and more.

Potter said those who are interested in signing up for the service can fill out information on the village website, thevillageofnewberlin.org/. He said updates will be sent out as needed.

“If the way things are now happens to be the new norm, this will be a great way to get the message out to everyone in our community,” said Potter. “We started this communications project a little over a year ago, and our board member Dave Smith has put a lot of effort into making sure we got the right program at the best price.”
