CHENANGO COUNTY - In accordance with New York State’s phased reopening plan, the Chenango County DPW Solid Waste Division shall enact the following changes effective June 1, 2020:

The Brisben Transfer Station, located at 177 Coutermarsh Road, in the Town of Greene will be open normal operational hours which are Monday 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Tuesday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The North Norwich Transfer Station, located at 6701 New York State Rt 12, in the Town of North Norwich, will be open normal operational hours which are Monday 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Tuesday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Chenango County Landfill, located at 439 County Road 47, in the Town of Pharsalia, will be open normal operational hours Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for residents and commercial customers and Saturday 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for residential garbage only. No dump trucks or trailers.

We ask that you continue to limit your visits to our facility to only when necessary, bringing only what is essential for disposal. While on site please maintain social distancing of at least six feet and be courteous and respectful to our staff as we are all adjusting to our new “normal.” We will be collecting clean, source separated recycling at all three facilities.
