CHENANGO COUNTY - Early voting starts tomorrow for primary elections throughout Chenango County.
According to Chenango County Rupublican Commissioner of Elections Mary Lou A. Monahan, during nine of the 10 days before an election, registered Chenango County Republican and Democratic voters who wish to vote in person for the June 23, 2020 Primary Election may do so at the Chenango County Board of Elections office located in the basement level of the Chenango County Office Building.
Monahan said the early voting dates and times are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, June 13, 14 and 20 and 21; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 15, 17, and 19; along with from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the 16 and 18.
She said on Election Day, June 23, 2020, for those wishing to vote in person, the consolidated polling site for Chenango County will be the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office, 279 County Road 46, Norwich, NY located across from Walmart.
“All COVID-19 precautions will be implemented including taking temperatures, a short 2-question survey, masks and hand social distancing,” she added. “Additional time will be needed to properly clean voting equipment after voters leave before admitting new voters.”
