OXFORD – Beginning Monday, June 15 The Oxford Memorial Library is very excited to announce that library patrons will be able to go to the on-line card catalog and place holds on their favorite books, DVDs and other materials.
Since starting curb-side pick up on June 1, the Four County Library System had not allowed patrons to use the Interlibrary Loan system, borrowing only items from their local library. But now they have turned that feature back on and the delivery vans from Four County Library System are making the rounds.
Go to http://www.oxfordmemoriallibrary.org or to the Four County Library System website to search the online card catalog and place holds. The e-mail and text notifications have not yet been turned on so we will still call to let patrons know their materials have arrived and make arrangements for pick up.
Patrons may still call us at 843-6146 and should have their library card number handy. We will look up the titles and place the holds or e-mail requests for hold can be sent to ox.ill@4cls.org.
We are looking forward to being able to open our doors to our patrons but we ask that when we do you remember to observe the guidelines set out by the state. Masks and social distancing are required. There will be traffic patterns to follow. When we are first allowed to re-open our doors patrons will only be allowed to come in and browse, find their materials and check out.
We thank all of you for your patience and understanding and if you have any questions please call or e-mail us. We have missed seeing all of you. Stay safe and stay healthy.
