BAINBRIDGE – The Village Board met in person on Tuesday evening at the Bainbridge Town Hall in the second floor Gallery Room to allow for proper social distancing.
All members of the Board attended as well as Clerk Brenda Parsons, Superintendent of Public Works Jeff Webb and Police Chief Casey Caratelli. No persons attended on the conference call bridge.
Monthly report highlights included a briefing from Chief Caratelli on the most recent Governor’s proclamation and order to convene a community committee to review policing procedures and submit recommendations in nine months.
Superintendent Webb discussed the recently completed street repaving on Evans and Pearl, as well as recent water system breaks and repairs.
Webb is investigating an auction market purchase of a replacement for our oldest flatbed truck. The Mayor highlighted the completion of the LED streetlight replacement plan and signing of the letter agreement.
No date is set for the actual replacement but indications are that it will be in third or fourth quarter this year.
A side benefit of the streetlight inventory was the discovery of overbilling for two fixtures which will result in a $2,000 refund to the Village.
No water reports were available.
During the financials review, Treasurer Parsons noted that all funds are carrying adequate fund balance, so transfers to reserves were executed before the end of May.
