Remember to take part of the 2020 census by going to my2020census.gov

CHENANGO COUNTY – According to Chenango County Planning Department only 52.8 percent of Chenango County residents have filled out their 2020 Census Survey.

The CCPD needs your help to encourage friends, families, and everyone else to fill out the survey. The survey takes 10 minutes to complete and helps shape Chenango Counties future.

To fill out the survey visit https://my2020census.gov.

Census data is used to help apply for grants for fire departments, hospitals and clinics, schools, roads and bridges, and non-profit organizations. It calculates our representation at the federal level and the number of votes your Town Supervisor gets at the Board of Supervisors. It also look at trends to plan for the future of our County.

"By now, everyone should have received an invitation to respond. Make sure you have filled out your own 2020 Census Survey, and then, remind your friends, families, and coworkers. Do you have a job where you interact with the public? Ask them if they have filled out their 2020 Census Survey and talk to them about how the Census effects the work you do," said the Chenango County Planning Department.
