NORWICH – On Friday the Chenango United Way held their first ever virtual day of caring, with the co-chairs for the campaign, John and Marcia Watt, announcing this year's fundraising goal.
"We have set this years goal at the same level as last year, seeking to raise $425,000 for our community," said John.
"The day to day work of the United Way and it's funded partners must continue. Locally the Chenango United Way funds over 23 programs and special projects that focus on food security, preparing children for success in school, work and life, connecting those in need to resources to pay bills and stay in their homes and improving access to affordable health care," said John.
The annual campaign will accept donations until the end of December, but the organization will run their employee campaign until the end of October.

During the Virtual Day of Caring, Kelly and Nick Colosi, board members for the Chenango United Way, discussed why they support the organization and why the community should too.
