NORWICH –The demolition of the brick apartment building located at 31 Mitchell Street began this morning and fulfills a commitment made by city officials who said it needs to come down before winter in order to avoid a collapse related to seasonal weather.

Yesterday Gorick Construction and Demolition prepped for the job by installing foam pads to protect surrounding homes and preformed an air quality check.
