CHENANGO – At the DCMO BOCES December Board of Education meeting a donation of hand sanitizer was accepted from Kerry Bio-Science in Norwich. According to the Health and Safety Coordinator, Jason Lawrence, DCMO BOCES received a telephone call from Jamey Anderson of Kerry Bio-Science offering to donate two pallets of hand sanitizer to help fight the spread of COVID.
The hand sanitizer was distributed to both the DCMO BOCES Chenango Campus and the Harrold Campus in an effort to support the health and safety procedures that are in place to protect the staff and students. According to Ms. Anderson, Kerry Bio-Science had surplus hand sanitizer and decided to distribute it to multiple organizations in the region in an effort to assist local organizations fighting the COVID-19 virus.
District Superintendent Perry Dewey commented on the gift, “The kindness and involvement from our business partners during this COVID crisis have been so encouraging. We are fortunate to have the support from our community and celebrate organizations like Kerry Bio-Science who saw a need and volunteered a valued resource,” said Dewey.
