NORWICH – The Norwich City School District and Liberty Partnership Program sponsored another year’s Holiday Clothing Program, where district families will receive new clothes free of charge.

According to Holiday Clothing Program Coordinator Kelly Colosi, the event has occurred for more than 30 years, and it serves approximately 200 families in the Norwich City School District.

Colosi said the giveaway night will take place 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Thursday at the SUNY Morrisville Norwich Campus. She said it will be a drive through pickup event due to the coronavirus. She added that anyone who signed up for a food voucher through the Broad Street Methodist Church can pick up their goods from 9 a.m. to noon as well.

“We really work hard to meet and to fill a need that our families have identified here in our school district,” said Colosi. “We want students to be able to go outside and play, and even just to be able to do things that others can do in the wintertime.”

“The need for winter items has increased this year, and we work really hard to use all of the funding that comes in to fill those needs.”
