EARLVILLE – Despite the pandemic in early December the Hamlet of Earlville welcomed a new craft store, The Three Olde Hags, and recently the opening was recognized by Congressman Anthony Brindisi.

“Congratulations on opening of The Three Olde Hags. I can only imagine that to successfully open and publicize a new business during a pandemic is one of the hardest feats possible,” said Brindisi.

“Thank you for persevering during this turbulent time to add to the vibrancy of our community. I believe small businesses are the backbone of our local economy and an integral part of the foundation of a strong community and applaud you for your efforts,” said the congressman.

The new store, The 3 Olde Hags, sells handmade items including jewelry, artwork and more from area artisans. You can find more information at www.facebook.com/threeoldehags.

Opening this store has been something Sarah wanted to do for a long time. When she saw the space for rent next to the Earlville Opera House she knew she had to inquire about it. With the price so worth it, she contacted Lisa and Lori, the other two Hags- and it was game on,” said one of the owners, Sarah Blanchard, on their facebook,

“In just under two months, during a pandemic, and many unknowns this space was turned into The 3 Olde Hags. The transition was and is exquisite,” said Blanchard.

“We’d like to thank all our customers for a first month that truly exceeded our expectations and to our friends and family who have supported and encouraged us in this endeavor,” added owner Lisa Thornton.
