NORWICH – February 19 was Staff Appreciation Day for all employees at the Norwich City School buildings. This appreciation event was sponsored by the Purple Tornado Community Team (PTCT).

The treats were provided by two local businesses, The Cottage Bakery from Kate Teft and Minty’s Candies from Mindy Chawgo.

Our teachers, cafeteria workers, janitors, assistants, secretaries and administrators have had to pivot and deal with so much this past year. This is just a small treat to say thank you for your everyday work.

We will be stopping by the bus garage next week as we did not forget those that see each child before the school starts and the last to see them when the school day ends. The PTCT meets the last Monday of every month via Google Meets. Anyone is welcome to join that lives in the Norwich City School District. Please contact us through our Facebook Page.

I would really like to say thank you to Mindy Chawgo for agreeing to help me coordinate this appreciation event, as treasurer of the executive board and the only non staff person. I felt like it was my role to do this. However I knew I could not do this alone and knew instantly that Mindy Chawgo was the one to contact. She made this easy and stress free.
