Berlin Counterpoint is an unusual sextet consisting of five woodwinds (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, French horn) plus piano. The group has received acclaim in appearances in major venues from New York to Istanbul and was scheduled for a USA tour this year.

Commenting on their performance in NYC, Anita Humer said this about Berlin Counterpoint, “these musicians created a musical sensation and enthusiasm of the highest ranking.”

Adrian Daurov is a Russian born, NYC based cellist who will join Berlin Counterpoint in playing the Mozart Quintet in E flat major for Piano and Winds. Daurov is an exciting young artist of tremendous talent who will also play a solo by Max Reger.

Post pandemic, Berlin Counterpoint and Adrian Daurov will perform live in CMSU’s 21-22 season at the Munson Williams Proctor Art Institute, CMSU’s performance home.

The virtual concert series is free and donations made during the week a performance is available online all go to the artists, not to CMSU.
