CHENANGO COUNTY – The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office reported that a Norwich man attempted to flee law enforcement Thursday afternoon, resulting in an accident after he lost control of his motorcycle.

According to a statement from Chenango County Sheriff Ernest Cutting, at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Thursday detectives and sheriff’s deputies attempted to stop a 2002 Suzuki motorcycle for various vehicle and traffic violations committed in the Town and City of Norwich.

Cutting said a low to moderate speed police chase took place from Norwich into the Village of Bainbridge.
