NORWICH – At the beginning of April NBT Bank President and CEO John H. Watt, Jr. announced that Barbara Schindler and Christopher Clark have joined NBT’s Southern Tier Advisory Board.

 

NBT Bank Advisory Board members work closely with bank management and share their experience and knowledge of the local business environment to help shape the bank’s continued growth and development in the region.

 

Schindler has been President and Chief Operating Officer of Golden Artist Colors, Inc. since 2001. She joined the organization in 1997 as controller and also served as chief financial officer.

Golden Artist Colors, Inc. is a manufacturer of artist quality materials, including colors and mediums for painting in acrylics, oils and watercolor. Prior to her role at Golden, Schindler was the controller for Niro Inc., an international firm with headquarters in Denmark. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Buffalo and has assisted the community in several capacities. Most recently, she has served as board member and budget and finance committee chair for ACHIEVE (Chapter of Arc NY), a member of the Finance/Investment Committee for the Sam & Adele Golden Foundation for the Arts, and a member of the Southern Tier Regional Economic Development Council.

Clark is the chief executive officer of Clark Companies located in Delhi, NY. Clark Companies is a specialized contractor with a sole focus on the design and construction of high quality outdoor athletic facilities. Clark started his career with the company in 2007 as project manager, followed by director of operations in 2016, before stepping into his current role in 2019. In addition to professional pursuits, he is active in the community as a youth football coach and member of the SUNY Delhi Golf and Plant Sciences Advisory Council. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Franklin & Marshall College followed by an MBA from Union University.
