NEW BERLIN – In mid-March, former Village of New Berlin Mayor Terry Potter stepped away from his position after years of service, and the new mayor Peter Lennon stepped in to fill the role.
According to Village of New Berlin Mayor Peter Lennon, coordination and collaboration with other entities in New Berlin are a couple of his key focuses for change in the area.
Lennon said he served for nearly 40 years as a logistician in both the Active Army and Army Reserve, with numerous assignments throughout the United States, Germany, Hungary, Iraq, and Kuwait. He said he retired in 2017 as a Major General from Fort Bragg, North Carolina and soon returned home to the Village of New Berlin.
He said that he continues to serve as an advisor to numerous economic development and wellness programs throughout the Southern Tier and Mohawk Valley and is on the advisory board of various national programs that support veterans.
