GREENE - Greene's girls' softball team had plenty of offense in its season opener, but it didn't really need it.
The Trojans scored 10 runs in the second inning, and went on to a 22-0 mercy rule victory over visiting Delhi on Thursday afternoon.
While the Greene offense was producing big numbers, Greene pitcher Olivia Kennedy was dominant throughout.
Kennedy tossed a one-hit shutout striking out 13 Bulldogs, and walking just one. Greene plays at Oxford on Friday.
