BINGHAMTON – Assemblyman Joseph Angelino (R,C,I-Norwich) joined other officials Saturday morning at Mirabito Stadium in Binghamton, urging New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to waste no time signing into law a bill allowing life-saving blood to be carried on medical helicopters in the state.
Joining Angelino on the outfield of Mirabito Stadium were legislative co-sponsors of the bill, Senator Fred Akshar and Assemblymember Donna Lupardo. The backdrop for this press conference was a Life Net medical helicopter based in Sidney.
Listening along with the elected officials was special guest, Travis Flanagan, who was the inspiration for getting this bill fast-tracked through both houses of the state legislature.
He was the victim of a tragic farming accident in March of this year in Smithville.
