EARLVILLE – The Earlville Opera House is pleased to announce a reopening with a free day of music and art from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on July 31 to thanks the community for its support during the recent closures.
The day begins at 1 p.m. with the reopening of our coveted galleries. Featured in the East Gallery is Bouckville, NY artist Lucy Tower Funke who is a painter and retired leader in New York State arts administration.
Our Arts Café will boast the work of Julian Button, photographer and owner of Earth Art Studio in Sherburne, NY; and Robert & Elizabeth Yates, copper artists from Central New York, will be highlighted in the West Gallery.
Also on-site is artist Kirsten Weyter showcasing her talent in our windowsill art display to accompany the reopening of our Artisan Gift Shop, a delightful area to browse while listening to live music and wandering the galleries. Gallery openings and exhibits are always free and open to the public. This round of exhibits will run through August 28.
Our Courtyard Series debuts at 2pm with New England folk musician Jim Paradis. Jim’s acoustic music and calming lyrics evoke a sense of home, love and loss and the changes life brings to a searching soul. He draws people into his stories, into the energy, and into the emotion of his heartfelt songs. A performer you don’t want to miss.
We encourage you to join us on this visual arts and musical adventure mixing color with sound- all in one place and all in one day.
