NORTH NORWICH - Norwich's golf team evened its 2021 record at 1-1 on the season winning a tiebreaker over Oneonta at Canasawacta Country Club on Tuesday.

With both teams' deadlocked in five-person scoring, Norwich's sixth scorer - Julien Smith - bested the sixth-best scorer from Oneonta. Smith had a 59, while Oneonta's Matt Rigas shot 68.

Jacob Morris led Norwich with a 49 over the par-36 front nine at C.C.C. Jacob Dowdall added a 50, and Nate Revoir rounded out the Tornado's top three shooting a 53.

Oneonta's Aiden Gelbsman was the overall match medalist shooting a 42.

GUILFORD - At Sundown Golf Course, Oxford opened its season with a solid road victory led by returning veterans Liam O'Brien and Ethan Fleury

Fleury led the Blackhawks (1-0) shooting a 46, and Fleury was just two back at 48. Bennett Paden made a solid top-three for Oxford carding a 50.

B-G's Jack Winn turned in the best score of the day shooting a 39 in the loss.

GREENE - All five Greene scoring players broke 50 over Genegantslet Golf Club's front nine in a runaway opening victory over Harpursville on Tuesday.

Parker Flanagan medaled for the Trojans with a match-best 41. Clayton Leonard was next at 45, Anthony Thatcher fired a 56, Maeric Barrows carded a 48, and Austin De Haan added a 49.
