The Bainbridge Free Library had a wonderful summer full of reading and fun

BAINBRIDGE — Our Tails & Tales Summer Reading Programs ran throughout the month of July for children up to 12 years old. We celebrated the accomplishment of our family readers and independent readers reading a total of over 9,000 minutes in one month with an Awards Party.

All agree that reading books during the summer is so much fun, and is also helpful in staying prepared for the start of another school year about to come.

Throughout July, Library Director Michelle Arnold visited the Town Playground Program held at the Greenlawn Elementary School where she enjoyed talking about the library and reading with the children.

A weekly Storytime in the Village Green Park with Children’s Librarian Erin Collins began in August. This is a very popular program! We invite you to call for details and registration availability to join the group at 607-967-5305.

You are always welcome to stop in to enjoy the quiet, nostalgic character of our library while you browse our unique collection of children’s books, adult fiction, nonfiction, large print books, movies, audio-books and magazines.

Our hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For your convenience, we also offer public computer use, internet and WIFI, and copier and fax services.

The Bainbridge Free Library is a member of the Four County Library System. With your library card you have the ability to request a book from over 40 libraries throughout Broome, Chenango, Otsego, and Delaware Counties. Conveniently, save a trip, pick up your books, and make any of your book returns right here with us.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at our Big Book Sale on Saturday, September 4, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
