OXFORD - Oxford suffered a close defeat to Deposit-Hancock on Tuesday night losing in four sets, 27-25, 25-19, 24-26, 25-19.
The Eagles were strong on defense and at the set. Enola Butler had 23 digs for D-H, and Kaitlyn Macumber finished with six kills, 16 digs, and two stuff blocks.
"Unfortunately, D-H dug out most of what we hit and was really good at the net," said Oxford coach Kim Martin. "Coupled with our errors we were unable to pull it off."
Oxford's Madalyn Barrows led her team with nine kills and nine digs. Mallory Olsen-Nichols added 15 assists and five aces.
