UTICA- Tornado senior Makaio Sutton continued his stellar cross-country season, placing 10th out of the 92 runner field in the small school race at the 78th Annual EJ Hermann Invitational on Saturday September 25th. Sutton navigated his way through the 5000m course in a time of 18:46.

Tornado teammate Zander Sutton placed 28th in a time of 20:54, and Caden Sutton placed 40th in a time of 22:02, which set almost a 90 second personal record for the freshman. Rounding out the Norwich’s boy’s varsity finishes was Zach Russell who placed 68th timing 25:44.

In the girl’s varsity small school race, Tornado freshman Annie Boland placed 39th out of the 81 runner field, finishing in a time of 26:50 over the 5000m course.

Fellow Norwich freshman Kyra Brunick-Davis finished in 54th with a time of 29:56. Norwich senior Lexi Slate placed 74th for the Purple in a time of 34:04.
