GREENE - Greene's field hockey team won for the third time this week blanking Sherburne-Earlville in its opening-round game of the Barrows/Bromley Field Hockey Tournament Thursday night.
The Trojans (7-2) erupted for five first-quarter goals to take a commanding lead, and all seven Greene goals were scored by different players.
Sarah Sexton, Claire Flanagan, Bella Tierno, Olivia Kennedy, Sam Darling, Emma Rice, and Jade Gilmore all collected goals in the victory.
Greene will face the winner of Deposit-Hancock and Afton-Harpursville Saturday in the championship game.

LITTLE FALLS - Little Falls spoiled Sherburne-Earlville's bid for a first Center State Conference victory rallying for two second-half goals in a tight victory Thursday.
The Mounties' Alexander Andrilla scored tied the game scoring off a scramble after several failed clear attempts by the S-E defense.
The game-winner came off a throw-in when Little Falls Jack Morotti tallied on a breakaway.
Sherburne-Earlville (1-7-1) took a 1-0 lead into intermission when Daniel Scholl found the net off an Andrew Fern crossing pass.
S-E plays Little Falls again on Saturday.

GREENE - Greene's and Oxford's top three players played to a standstill, but it was the Trojans' depth in the fourth and fifth positions that provided the edge in Thursday's victory at Genegantslet Golf Course.
All five scoring players for the Trojans broke 50. Parker Flanagan (43), Maeric Barrows (44), and Lincoln Youngs (46) led the way. In the all-important final two spots, Clayton Leonard carded a 48, and Austin De Haan closed the scoring shooting a 49.
Oxford's Ethan Fleury posted overall match medalist honors shooting a 42, Maeric Barrows was two back at 44, and Lincoln Youngs fired a 46.
Greene's record improved to 9-4, while Oxford's mark dropped to 9-3.

NORWICH - Norwich capitalized on Windsor's depleted lineup picking up three forfeit victories in Thursday's victory.
The Purple Tornado (5-6) did split the four matches that were contest. Jolei Powell, playing at second singles, won in a third-set tiebreaker for the second straight match.
Powell edged Windsor's Brionna Marble, 6-2, 5-7, 10-2.
Norwich's first doubles team of Chloe Glanville and Leeanne Laden topped the Black Knights' Lauren Stevens and Isabella Indelicato, 6-0, 6-0.
