CHENANGO COUNTY – As of Tuesday there are 112 active cases of COVID-19 in Chenango County, 37 of which are vaccinated, and five individuals are currently hospitalized, none of which are vaccinated.

The Chenango County Department of Health confirmed there have been 4,368 total cases of COVID-19 in Chenango.

There have been 85 confirmed deaths.

The health department also confirmed there are 295 residents under quarantine, and 4,142 total recoveries.

So far approximately 143,921 tests for the virus have been administered in the county.

The health department also confirmed that 57.3 percent of the total Chenango County population has had at least one vaccine dose, and 68.8 percent of the 18 and older population has had at least one vaccine dose.

Today, Tuesday, October 5, the health department will be hosting a Pfizer booster clinic from 1 to 4 p.m., at their South Plaza location in Norwich for eligible recipients. 400 appointments are available.
