CHENANGO COUNTY – As of Wednesday there are 94 active cases of COVID-19 in Chenango County, 25 of which are vaccinated, and five individuals are currently hospitalized, one of which are vaccinated.
The Chenango County Department of Health confirmed there have been 4,856 total cases of COVID-19 in Chenango.
There have been 86 confirmed deaths.
The health department also confirmed there are 278 residents under quarantine, and 4,671 total recoveries.
So far approximately 154,322 tests for the virus have been administered in the county.
According to the health department, 58.8 percent of the total Chenango County population has received at least one vaccine dose, and 70.3 percent of the 18 years and older population has received at least one vaccine dose.
There are three upcoming COVID vaccine clinics. On Friday, November 5, a Janssen booster clinic for eligible recipients 18 years and older will be held at the health department's South Plaza store location, in Norwich, from 1 to 3 p.m.
On Tuesday, November 9, there will be a Moderna booster clinic for eligible recipients 18 years and older, at the South Plaza location from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Lastly, on Wednesday, November 10, there will be a Moderna booster clinic for eligible recipients 18 years and older, held at the Broad Street United Methodist Church in Norwich from 1 to 3 p.m.
