Much To Be Thankful For At The Bainbridge Free Library
Published: November 4th, 2021

BAINBRIDGE – For the second year in a row we are participating in a New York State library initiative called The Great Give Back.

Last year, 180 libraries joined in the mission of engaging with their communities in meaningful, service-oriented experiences. Help us make an impact for those in need this Holiday Season. Please bring non-perishable food and personal care items to the library now through November 17th to be donated in support of the Bainbridge Food Pantry.

We are now offering a fun and educational Afterschool Explorer Club once a month with Erin, our Youth Services Librarian, and Erica the 4H Educator from Cornell Cooperative Extension. Contact us to register for the next program coming up on Thursday, November 4t at 3:30 pm.

The program will run about 45 minutes, there will be time to socialize, have fun learning, and experimenting. The activities planned are sure to be a real HOOT! Activities may be best suited for 4-10 year olds, but all kids are welcome. This program will be held indoors, so face masks are required for all participants.

We invite you to sign your child up for Storytime with Erin every Wednesday morning at 10:30 by calling the library at 607-967-5305 or email us at ba.library@4cls.org. Reading books together is a great way to help children prepare for kindergarten. Stop in for some great story ideas and book bundles including fun seasonal activities.

Mark your calendars for Small Business Saturday, November 27th. Christmas trees will brighten Main Street with Holiday cheer, the Bainbridge Free Library will have a special Holiday Book Sale, and more...

Our Annual Cookie Sale is back this year! We are in need of bakers to help with this delicious library fundraiser. Please bake three dozen small cookies and bring them to the Bainbridge Library on Thursday, December 2nd for the elves to package and sell at the Annual Holiday Craft Sale. The Holiday Craft Sale is scheduled for Saturday, December 4th at the Bainbridge-Guilford High School.

You are always welcome to stop in to enjoy the quiet, nostalgic character of our library and browse our unique collection of children’s books, adult fiction, nonfiction, large print books, movies, audio-books and magazines. Our hours are Tues. & Wed. 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, Thursday 10:00 am - 6:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.
