CHENANGO COUNTY – As of Thursday there are 198 active cases of COVID-19 in Chenango County, 55 of which are vaccinated, and six individuals are currently hospitalized, none of which were vaccinated.

The Chenango County Department of Health confirmed there have been 5,587 total cases of COVID-19 in Chenango.

There have been 91 confirmed deaths.

The health department also confirmed there are 497 residents under quarantine, and 5,587 total recoveries.

So far approximately 164,409 tests for the virus have been administered in the county.

According to the local department of health vaccinations continue to be the best weapon against COVID-19. “We strongly encourage everyone to get vaccinated and if far enough removed from last dose, get a booster,” stated the department.
