NORWICH – During their 134th Annual meeting held recently at Taylor’s Country House, Eric Larsen was unanimously elected as an Honorary member of the Maydole Hose Co. #2, of the Norwich Fire Department.
Maydole President Patrick Ford stated, “our company By-Laws read that Honorary Membership shall be a person who has provided exemplary service to the company or community, and Eric sure fits that criteria.Eric has been involved and has chaired many committees for years, including the ongoing revitalization of Norwich’s Rexford Street Museum District.
“Most notably his signature Accomplishments include the Annual Chenango Blues Fest, recognized nationally as One of the Best.”, and the Summer Concert Series that brings world class entertainment Free of charge to concert goers all summer long.”
Other recipients include, Norwich Mayors, Joe Maiurano and Robert Raphael Jr., Assemblyman Clarence Rappleyea and Judge Lee.
“The company is extremely excited having Eric as a new member, but not as excited as Eric was when we told him he didn’t have to fight fires,” said Ford
