OXFORD - Still missing multiple starters, Oxford overcame that short-handed lineup - and an early nine-point deficit - as Madalyn Barrows and Madison Long contributed career-high performances for the Blackhawks on Wednesday.

Barrows and Long combined for 45 of their team's points with Barrows scoring 37 points, and Long eight.

"We are figuring it out every day," said Oxford coach Chris Palmer. "I give the girls a lot of credit. They are mentally handling all the changes, and every player has contributed - including a couple from the JV team."

Deposit-Hancock raced to an 18-9 lead, but the rest of the way did not reach double figures scoring in any quarter.

Oxford grabbed the lead for good early in the third starting the quarter with a 13-0 run.
