CHENANGO COUNTY – As of Tuesday there are 210 active cases of COVID-19 in Chenango County, 69 of which are vaccinated. Two people are currently hospitalized, none of which are vaccinated.
The Chenango County Department of Health confirmed there have been 7,905 total cases of COVID-19 in Chenango.
There have been 100 confirmed deaths. The health department also confirmed there are 286 residents under quarantine.
So far approximately 187,498 tests for the virus have been administered in the county.
The department reported another 100 booster shots were given last week.
According to the Chenango County Department of Health: 64 percent of the total county population has had at least one dose of vaccine; and 74.5 percent of the 18-plus county population has had one dose of vaccine.

“Vaccinations continue to be our best weapon against COVID-19. We strongly encourage everyone to get vaccinated and if far enough removed from last dose, get a booster,” stated health department officials.
