OXFORD - Greene put together perhaps it best half of the season, and it rolled past host Oxford on Friday night.

The Trojans (10-3) finished the first quarter on a 14-0 run to take an 18-2 lead.

Naoimi Smith scored early in the second quarter for the Blackhawks, but the Trojans then proceeded to connect for 17 more straight points - a combined 31-2 salvo.

Olivia Kennedy fueled Greene's quick start with 10 points in the opening quarter. Moreover, the Trojans defense held Oxford's leading scorer, Madalyn Barrows, without a first-half point.

"We played amazing defense in the first half," said Greene coach Dave Gorton. "We didn't do anything specific to stop (Barrows). We were focused on our scheme and helping each other."

Kennedy led Greene (10-3) with 18 points. Abby Yahner added 12 points, and Payton Yahner picked up 10 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists.
