Boys' Basketball: Greene Finishes Season On The Upswing

WHITNEY POINT - Greene wrapped up its basketball season on a high note.

The Trojans, plagued by injuries and absences throughout the regular season, won their third straight game beating Whitney Point in a non-league tilt on Wednesday.

Greene (7-13) trailed by six after one period, but turned the momentum its way over the next two quarters.

Aiden Pickard, Jaden Eroshevich, Joel Vielandi, and Liam Flanagan combined for 28 of the Trojans' 32 points during the middle periods to build a seven-point lead.

Pickard finished with 15 points to lead Greene, while Eroshevich and Flanagan scored nine apiece.

"It was nice to end (the season) with three in a row," said Greene coach Rick Tallman.
