OTSELIC- Otselic Valley came out on top on a cold, windy night in Madison 17-3 in five and two- thirds innings.
Otselic Valley starter Cassidy Will struck out 11 batters in the win. She also had a great game at the plate as she went 2-for-5 and scored three runs.
Paige Will also did well, going 3-for-5 with two runs scored. Tori Foster hit a home run in the fifth to end the game.
Otselic Valley softball coach Danielle Graham commented on her team's performance.
“We started out slow with the bats,” Graham said. “But once we got on base and were aggressive at running, we added up runs.” “Overall the girls played great.”
For Madison, starter Molly Eastman pitched five plus innings with 12 strikeouts. She also went 2-for-3 at the plate with two doubles and three rbis.
MacKenzie Cotter went 1-for-3 and scored on two errors by the OV defense.
Otselic Valley will be on the road versus Brookfield before traveling to DeRuyter on Friday. Madison will host Stockridge Valley for a possible game Tuesday afternoon before traveling to DeRuyer on Thursday.
