NORWICH — Aunt Mary’s House Board of Directors announces that Brenda White has been appointed Executive Director of the agency.
An experienced leader, Brenda assumed responsibilities in April of 2022. Brenda has over 20 years of experience in the human services and medical field and has the skills and ability to coordinate and run Aunt Mary’s house.
Aunt Mary’s House is a non-profit agency under the umbrella of Improve Norwich Now. Aunt Mary’s House will be a non-denominational emergency shelter for pregnant and parenting young mothers and their babies.
Aunt Mary’s House will meet the basic needs and alleviate the burden of crisis on a young mother and her child by providing them with shelter, nutritious food, independent living skill-building, case management, employment and educational services and access to medical care in a safe environment. By helping young mothers meet their basic needs, Aunt Mary’s House aims to assist residents in developing the skills necessary to live independently and be self-sufficient.
In her role as Executive Director, Brenda will be building connections with organizations and local agencies that provide services in Chenango County. Together they can assist residents of Aunt Mary’s House gain self-efficiency and become empowered to achieve independence and maintain a healthy family lifestyle.
