NEW BERLIN – On Saturday, June 18th the Village of New Berlin held its annual Yard Sale Day. The event takes place every year on the third Saturday in June.

Yard Sale Day was organized differently this year. The newly appointed Village of New Berlin Community Events Committee organized the event.

The Committee, consists of Sarah Wright, Patrick Wright, Kelly Anderson, Lisa Serradilla, Megan Brennan, Moura Sterling, and Amy Huggins, expanded on the idea of community yard sales to include additional events.  

Entertainers Joe Lombardi and Elizabeth Crawford performed at the old firehouse. There was face painting and balloon animals as well as a food counter run by the local Girl Scout troop.

At Hyde Park, Front Porch Harmony played at the gazebo and food vendors sold variety of wares. St. Theresa's held a Brooks Barbecue sale on the Masonic Temple lawn. There were information booths for Chase Memorial Nursing Home and the Area Agency on Agency and the New Berlin Library held a children's book giveaway.   The event was capped off with an auction held at the former Remember When building to sponsor the New Berlin Youth Center.
