NEW BERLIN – For the week of July 13, The Trophy Guy, Cindy and Joe Miller, lead the South New Berlin Horseshoe Club, a half game ahead of Kelly’s Flowers, Ed Kohler and Lee Coon. Kelly’s Flowers looks to take back first place after returning from a bye week. P & E, Carpet Plus Color Tile, and Service Pharmacy round out the top five of the standings.

The Trophy Guy saw third place finishes in both the team handicap high singles and in the team handicap high series while Cindy Miller finished first in the women’s high series. Cindy earned second place in the women’s high singles, a point behind Laughlin’s Lawn Care’s Sheryl Rowe (72-71).

Dale Lund fell short in the men’s high singles against Mike Aylesworth. Aylesworth scored 91 points over Lund’s 79. Lund did earn the win in the men’s high series over Aylesworth with 221 points. Rustic Ridge, which includes Lund and teammate Ron Anderson, achieved a first place finish in the team high series with 396 points.

After Aylesworth finished on top of the men’s high singles, his team, Wise Guy’s Sammy’s with teammate Jamie Delamater, took care of two team categories. They scored 161 points in the team high singles and a best 228 points in the team handicap high singles. They finished second behind Rustic Ridge in the team high series. P&E, Chris Eastman and Bill King, earned the win with 622 points in the team handicap high series to end the week.

The South New Berlin Horseshoe club plays every Wednesday night.
