Colorscape Announces Star-studded Performance Lineup

NORWICH – Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival has unveiled the lineup of performers appearing on the NBT Mainstage at the nationally recognized fine arts festival this September 10 and 11. The NBT Mainstage is home to nationally and regionally recognized bands and solo performers, emphasizing folks, blues, and rock.

The NBT Mainstage is located in East Park and is a large, permanent, high-quality covered stage. Ken Millet and Night Eagle Productions manage this stage for the arts festival.

Mustard’s Retreat will kick off the festival on Saturday, starting at 10 a.m.

“Mustard's Retreat has entertained our audience over the years. It really is ‘music to cure what ails you,'" said Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival Executive Director Celeste Friend.

Drew Drake is a world-traveled actor, poet, and educator who will be performing his much-admired poetry and the spoken word following the opening ceremonies. Drake will also be doing a workshop with the Norwich City School District the day before the festival starts.

The Kennedy’s, Aztec Two-Step 2.0, Adam Ezra Group, The Slambovian Circus of Dreams, and Bob Malone wrap up the first day. The second day of Colorscape begins again with Mustard’s Retreat and The Kennedys, followed by Vance Gilbert, John Gorka, The Slambovian Circus of Dreams, with Adam Ezra Group wrapping up the festival.

“Adam Ezra Group has been at Colorscape in the past, and we’re excited to have them back. Their performance is a one-of-a-kind experience," said Colorscape Chenango Board President Melissa deCordova. Find AEG's latest single, Ophelia, on Spotify or your favorite streaming platform.

“Colorscape is one of our favorites because their festival is inspired by the community as much as music and art. Being there each year kinda feels like a family reunion … So excited to be coming back!” said Adam Ezra.

In addition to the NBT Mainstage, the festival has two other entertaining stages. Peggy’s Stage is home to local and regional performers like Mark Sands/Realtime Dixieland Band. The Art Zone Stage offers family-friendly musical performers, storytellers, jugglers, and other fun acts. Recognized as one of the top 100 classic and contemporary craft shows in the country by Sunshine Artist Magazine, Colorscape Chenango has been celebrating premier artists in downtown Norwich since 1995.

This free, two-day festival in September features over 100 creators displaying and selling their paintings, sculptures, fabric art, fine crafts, photography, and more. Colorscape also offers nationally renowned musical performers, poetry and literary arts, food, and interactive art activities for all ages.

The 2022 Colorscape will be held rain or shine on September 10 and 11 in East and West Parks in Norwich.

The Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival is made possible with public funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and administered by The Earlville Opera House.
