NEW BERLIN – For the week of July 27, Kelly’s Flowers and The Trophy Guy continue to battle it out for first place in the South New Berlin Horseshoe Club. Kelly’s Flowers, Ed Kohler and Lee Coon, won four games this week to move back up to first with The Trophy Guy, Cindy and Joe Miller, behind them by a game and a half.

While Kelly’s Flowers was prominent in game play, they also led three of the four team high categories with Rustic Ridge taking the victory in the team high series. Kelly’s Flowers scored 172 points over Rustic Ridge’s 169 in the team high singles while falling behind to Rustic Ridge 492-475 in the team high series.

While Rustic Ridge moved from 18th to 13th place, still itching for the top ten, Dale Lund was his dominant self in the men’s high singles and series. Lund and partner Ron Anderson took the top spots of the men’s high singles as Lund scored 98 points and Anderson with 94 points. Lund scored 258 points over Lee Coon’s 242 in the men’s high series.

For the Women, it was all Jess Sherwood. Jess Sherwood scored 77 points in the women’s high singles before dropping 208 points in the high series.

The South New Berlin Horseshoe club plays every Wednesday night.
