EARLVILLE – Earlville Days, September 9 and 10, , will begin with the Huff Brau’s Block Party from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday evening.
A softball tournament at 8 a.m. will kick off Saturday.
Most events begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, including a car show and crusie-in with DJ JimmyB; garden tractor pulls, vender openings and food offerings.
Many vendors come from around the area, offering everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to baked goods and hand-knitted items. There is no cost for vendors to set-up and the market is held rain or shine.
The Special Events Tent will host hourly presentations and music from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Earlville Volunteer Fire Department will hold a chicken BBQ at noon and put on a demonstration. Crews will hold other demonstrations in the day.
From noon to 3 p.m. the Earlville Opera House will have an open house celebrating its 50 year anniversary.
A medical evacuation helicopter will visit at at around 2 p.m. So will puppies for adoptions and a civil war history display.
The Chenango County Fire Prevention Trailer and Child Safe ID trailer by the Sheriff's Office will be on hand.
A magic show and family band begins at about 4 p.m.
Fireworks will follow the days events at dusk.
