MAINE-ENDWELL - On Friday night, Norwich could not make another comeback, as they suffered a 45-14 loss to a powerful Maine-Endwell Spartans.

M-E put up 359 rushing yards, including five rushing touchdowns. 94 rushing yards came from running back Mancini while 90 went to their Quarterback. Otherwise, Norwich may have seen a closer game if they were able to stop the run on defense.

Being down 17-0 after the first quarter, Norwich answered back as Steven Dowdall found Braden Hagenbuch for a 41 yard touchdown pass. Dowdall would find Hagenbuch again late in the fourth quarter for a 10 yard touchdown. Overall, Dowdall threw 13 completions out of 21 for 172 yards and the two touchdowns. Norwich’s 172 yards of passing was strong over M-E’s 39, including 98 yards on six catches made by Hagenbuch.

Norwich looks to snap a two-game skid as they host Windsor Friday night at 7 p.m.
