GREENE – On Saturday afternoon, the Greene Trojans field hockey team defeated Newark Valley 8-0. Greene put up 17 shots on goal, including three goals from Claire Flanagan, two each from Payton Yahner and Paige Roe, and a goal from Dakota LeBlanc. Flanagan, Abby Yahner, Josie Dutcher, Nadia Brown (x2), and Bella Tierno earned assists.

Goalies Natalie Scofield and Tatianna Wells stood ground and did not let Newark Valley put a shot on goal in both halves.

Greene will be on the road this week, including a game against Maine-Endwell on Wednesday before taking on Whitney Point on Friday.
